Steamtown Church, Scranton, Dennis D’Augostine
Dennis D’Augostine is currently Director of Coal Mine youth ministries in Scranton, PA. The youth ministry leadership team was considering launching a dynamic new Bible-teaching church to reach entire families. After much prayer, research, and seeking of godly counsel, they were convinced the Lord of Harvest was directing this team to start Steamtown Church in Scranton. They opened their doors in 2008.
Project Jerusalem, a church-planter equipping ministry under Ken Davis’ leadership, is providing training, counsel, coaching and mentoring. Both Maranatha Bible Church and The Chapel in Buffalo, NY have agreed to be partner churches with Steamtown.
Currently there is a core group of about 35 people meeting weekly for worship, ministry and planning. Their vision is to enable every man, woman and child in the Scranton-metro area to hear and see the Gospel so that many lives and families will be transformed.
Please pray that during this crucial “pre-natal” stage they might experience God’s hand of blessing and see many adults come to faith in Christ. Please also pray that their financial needs would be met.
